Rents to continue as at present.
(d). The lessees to fill in the whole of the
area of the proposed lot and half the width of the adjoining
roads along the East and West boundaries of the lot to such
levels as the Director of Public Works may require within two
years of the date mentioned in (c).
(e). The lessees to surrender the leases of
Kowloon Inland Lots 640 and 642 within 3 months of the date
mentioned in (c) and to take out a new lease for the new lot
when called upon to do 30.
(f). The lessees to remove within two months
of the date mentioned in (c) any existing buildings from that
portion of Kowloon Inland Lot 642 falling outside the bound-
-aries of the new lot.
The applicants state that if they are
granted permission to erect a temporary factory upon a vacant
piece of land close to the sea, they are prepared to comply
with this condition and I am advised by the Director of
Public Works that there is no objection to their occupation
of a piece of land temporarily upon the following terms:-
(1). The position and extent of area to be
determined by the Director of Public Works.
(2). The period for which it is to be occupied
not to exceed 5 years.
(3). Crown Rent at the rate of 8250 per acre
to be paid for such period as the land may be
occupied.
(4). The area to be handed over in a clean
and tidy condition on the termination of its
occupation.
